Dreyer Confiserie aus Hameln – kuratierter Tee

Tea Culture from Hameln: for over 20 years

For two decades, we have passionately curated tea in the historic old town of Hamelin. As "happiness makers," we stand for honest craftsmanship, selected leaves, and aromas that tell stories. Our assortment is created with care and combines the brands EILLES and Niederegger as well as our own Pied Piper fruit tea.

Our Location
  • Schwarztee wird in eine Glaskanne aufgegossen

Black tea for a strong start

Our black tea selection ranges from mild Earl Grey to strong Assam Special Broken. The Darjeeling Royal impresses as a First Flush with a floral-fresh note and as a Second Flush with a full-bodied, malty character. The Marzipan Black Tea variant from Niederegger also combines classic tea enjoyment with a delicate almond note.

  • Grüntee in einer weißen Porzellantasse

    Green tea, delicate and invigorating

The Asia Superior green tea is characterized by a mild, grassy-fresh aroma, while the organic version with jasmine blossoms adds a floral component. For those who like it fruity and invigorating, Niederegger's Green Tea Ginger-Lemon with its tangy citrus note is the perfect choice.

  • Rooibostee in einer rustikalen Keramiktasse mit getrockneten Kräutern

Caffeine-Free Indulgence: Herbs, Fruits & Rooibos

For those who want to avoid caffeine, we offer a wide selection: from warming varieties like Rooibos Winter Punch to the mild Organic Rooibos Pure, and fruity blends such as Apple Fruits or our in-house Pied Piper Fruit Tea. Chamomile Blossoms and Herb Garden round off the assortment for a relaxed evening.

How to recognize high-quality tea

The quality of tea largely depends on the leaf grade and the harvesting time. With Darjeeling, a distinction is made between the First Flush, the first plucking in spring with a floral-fresh character, and the Second Flush in summer with a more intense, fuller-bodied aroma. Classifications such as "Special Broken" describe the leaf size: the coarser the leaf, the slower and more gently the aroma develops. Our EILLES Tea-Diamond pyramid bags offer enough space for even large-leaf tea to develop as fully as loose tea.

What matters:
· Leaf grade – coarsely cut leaves develop aroma more slowly and gently
· Harvest time – First Flush floral, Second Flush strong
· Pyramid bags – more room for full leaf development
· Origin – Darjeeling, Assam and Asia Superior for different taste profiles

Tee wird luftdicht in einer Dose gelagert

This is how your tea will develop its full aroma

Tea loses its aroma primarily due to light, moisture, and foreign odors. To keep it fresh for a long time:

· Store in an airtight container, away from coffee or spices
· Keep in a dry, dark place, not next to the stove
· Observe steeping time depending on the variety: black tea 3–5 minutes, green tea 2–3 minutes, herbal and fruit tea 5–8 minutes
· Adjust water temperature: green tea at 70–80 °C, black tea at 95–100 °C

This way, every cup of tea tastes exactly as it should: aromatic, balanced, and with character.
